When considering any type of surgery the one thing that is paramount is a skilled surgeon you can trust to have your best interest at heart. I have found that and much more in Dr. Joseph. Dr. Joseph was very patient with me as a first timer. I had never had any kind of Cosmetic Surgery before I met him. All I knew is that I was tired of looking at my sagging breasts.

My first introduction to Dr. Joseph's work was through a woman I met via a mutual friend. She was very open and willing to share her experiences with me. This was a huge confidence builder for me. I'm going to share my experience with gynecomastia. I noticed that my chest was enlarging when I was around 15 years old. I'm 27 now and since then, I have suffered from shame and had always been conscious about it. I couldn't do the usual stuff that my friends used to do. Growing up, my average weight had always been around 135 pounds. Marriage, giving birth, and a divorce all contributed to an increasingly negative self-image. When I went to see Dr. Joseph for my initial consultation I wanted and felt I needed a tummy tuck. However, after Dr. Joseph did a thorough interview with me he determined that what I really should consider was liposuction. I had a lot of loose skin on my stomach that I didn't want anymore. During our consultation it was determined that that was fat and that a tummy tuck would not give me the result I was looking for.

After we discussed the procedure, the recovery time, the cost and everything else involved, Dr. Joseph asked if there were any other things I would like to discuss.

I was ALWAYS concerned about the bags under my eyes. The doctor looked at them and decided to make me happy with that decision that I should consider lifting my upper lids as well. I only went in to get my stomach done. However, after both consultations I decided to do my eyes as well.

I have to say I am extremely pleased with my decisions and I am extremely happy with my stomach, however I LOVE my eyes!

I have to tell you after the procedures I was back to work 3 days later. I was told to take it easy the first few days then make sure I moved around after that to help my stomach. I went back to work 3 days later. There was minor discomfort in my stomach (only when I had to go from up to down positions) and absolutely NO discomfort with my eyes. I wore sunglasses at work for a few days because of the bruising.

A few weeks after my surgery, I had to take my daughter to her doctor for a cold. The doctor said that I really looked good. She told me I looked like that I had a good night's sleep or something. She couldn't put her finger on it but somehow I looked different. She thought I had a new haircut or color.

I finally told her what I had done, she asked me if I would mind if she looked at my eyes to see where I had my incisions and if she could see my stomach and those incisions as well. She told me how impressed she was and asked me for Dr. Joseph's card.

This letter is pertaining to the life changing decision I decided to go through with and the doctor that I owe great thanks to. Since I can remember I had low self-esteem because of one feature on my body. This wasn't just a flaw that someone becomes self-conscious with and can joke and laugh about.
